Beginners Folklorico Class
Fridays 5-6pm
El Mar de Oro Ballet Folklorico Beginners Class will focus on basic Ballet Folklorico steps while also focusing on stretching, musicality, rhythm, and choreography. Students will learn dances from many regions from Mexico and will also have an opportunity to perform at our studio showcases and occasional community events.
Intermediate Folklorico Class
Fridays 6-7pm
El Mar de Oro Ballet Folklorico Intermediate Class will focus on Intermediate Ballet Folklorico steps while also focusing on stretching, posture, warm ups, choreography and Ballet Folklorico techniques. Students will also learn dances from many regions from Mexico and will have an opportunity to perform at our studio showcases and occasional community events.
Advanced Folklorico Class
Saturday 9-10am
El Mar de Oro Ballet Folklorico Advanced Class will prepare students to be a part of our Performance groups. Students will focus on performance qualities working as team and sounding “Like One Shoe.”They will also focus on stretching, cardio, posture, choreography and Ballet Folklorico techniques. These students will be adding many more dances from the region of Mexico to there growing repertoire of dances.
El Mar de Oro Juvenil Performance Group
Fridays 7-8pm
El Mar de Oro Juvenil is a performance based group ( 6 to 17 years of age) . Dancers will practice dances from the repertoire of El Mar de Oro Ballet Folklorico, they will also learn new dances and are expected to dance at a professional level. To be in this group dancers must be in Int./Adv. class and must have Folklorico dance shoes, bloomers, hairpieces, and dance attire. They must also be approved by director David Chavez.
